Welcome to my new glass adventure, boro glass beads, with their ethereal misty colours that change with the light.
Borosilicate glass is known in kitchens and laboratories as Pyrex, but in the bead world it is prized for the colour effects, formed by crystals of silver in the glass. It is more difficult and time consuming to work than my usual soda-lime glass, but I think the results are worth the effort.
They can appear different under artificial light, my photos are taken in natural daylight.
These beads are all made on a slightly larger 2mm mandrel, so the holes are a little larger than my other beads.
I hope you like them as much as I do!
